Activities The C Batch has made an outstanding performance in Summit 2000 conducted in our college. We bagged the first prize for the best technical stall. We had mainly four topics covered in our stall. 1) LOCAL AREA NETWORKS (LAN) We implemented a local area network interconnecting two computers. There were five charts on this topic displaying different networking topologies and data communication methods. 2) OPTICAL FIBRE COMMUNICATION It was a working model of a simple communication device. Music from a Stereo Player was converted into light, then transmitted via an optical fibre cable about four meter long, received at the other end and then played it back. We displayed about 5 charts on optical fibres. Mr. Liju Philip of electronics dept. had helped us a lot. Without him this project would not have been a success. 3) VIRUSES This section had about five charts on viruses.The various charts told the public about various kinds of viruses, how they work,and even how you can create a virus ! 4) HARDWARE We had a hard disk, a motherboard, a Cyrix II micro Processor, a Floppy drive and a CD ROM drive to display. |
